I was wondering what everyone does with extra casing mixture after (if) it has been sterilized. I was wanting to keep it in a sealed bag for a week, so if anyone does this with no problems kindly let me know. Thanks.

Dude actually microwave sterilizes his ~50-50 with a touch of lime. After it has cooled he sprays it with H2O/ H2O2 to field capacity and keeps it in a medium sized, sealed rubbermaid container. He uses it as he needs it. Up to three weeks after sterilization and he hasn't had many probs with contams...

I usually keep some in a bowl covered with saran wrap in the cupboard.Microwave it when you need to do a little patch casing,or covering up exposed substrate when harvesting.

Yes, dude mixes his casing (~ 50/50), and adds water in a large microwaveable container and nukes it for about 5 mins. Stirs it and nukes it again for about 9 mins. After this is done he opens the microwave, puts Al foil over the container and lets it cool enough to handle the container. Then he just dumps the pasteurized casing into a clean rubbermaid container puts the lid on and lets it cool. Before he uses it, he sprays it to capacity with ~5% H2O2 / H2O.

hmmm... not sure...
have you found something that works for you? I think finding what works best for you is one of the coolest things in this hobby.
Back when I was growing, I had the worst time with bulk substrates. This was before the boards were filled with great ideas for bulk. I was trying all kinds of bagged compost, and couldn't get it to work for shit (pun intended). I pretty much gave up on it and stuck with grain until I found that I could go to the local park and get fresh horse droppings. Then I began having continuous success with it.
It is all a learning curve. But the thing is you have to want to learn. Asking questions is great, but figuring something out on your own is much more rewarding, IMO.
