You just got bad genetics. The mutants are more potent though

Just to clarify info for myself, small, curvy, fruits are considered mutants?
and @RenzoSupreme: Yeah, definitely bad genetics, man. I myself have fallen victim to the same thing recently. Incredibly disappointing. So far no distinguishable flushes. Just popped veil after popped veil. Tallest fruit so far was MAYBE 2.5 inches if I was lucky. After about 3 weeks of fruiting a total of 12g dry might have been harvested. On the plus side, I sampled 1g so far and it blew me away . Easily felt like 2g (which would make sense if these are considered mutants). Anyways though, better luck to your friends next time.

...how is that mono set up? There's no such thing as "too much FAE", there is the issue of moisture control tho. But it looks to me like you have small fruits maturing too early, which has happened to me when I drench the substrate. You need a proper mono set up and you wont need to do anything but fan it out once or twice a day. Two holes on each long side, substrate level. One hole on each short side, high up near the top. Stuff with a small to medium amount of polyfil. And don't mist all the time- by the looks of it, you are over-saturating the surface and your fruits. Good luck!

Yeah, evaporation is what really triggers pinning; as it was said the sub looks saturated and if there isn't enough evaporation then that will happen from what you can see.
In a SGFC I mist lightly and then fan enough to see the moisture evaporate off the pins and decently dry looking on the surface of the sub. Same would go for a monotub minus the misting; start fanning more and not misting at all and see what happens.

If you stuff the correct holes with polyfil and have a fan running, a mono will take care of it's own moisture. You need only fan once or twice a day. Good luck!

Substrate is too wet or too dry.
That's my guess.
Those mutants look fine to pick and eat

Thank you.
They don't tho. Poly retains humidity and allows filtered FAE at all times. Keep it simple. There's a reason it's a reliable tek, no need to stray when you're first getting your feet wet, it only confuses things. I promise you'll be happy with the results. I wish I had more pics to show you but I'm sure you've seen them around the forums

I personally have never had mutants that were more potent. But everybody is different. Thats just my experience.
