spruce mulch for growing?
    #1565569 - 05/21/03 01:31 PM (15 years, 7 days ago)

i've read that mulch is good for azures and such, but is it good for cubensis? i was spreading some spruce mulch yesterday and it just seemed like it would be good to grow some shrooms on. i did a search on here for it, but i find it much easier to just post a question here. theres usually a nice wide range of answers. the strain i have right now is cambodian cubensis and i have 3 cakes fruiting now, and one cake is still finishing colonizing. i was thinking about using the one cake thats still colonizing, and maybe 1 of the others to do a casing. all i want to know is how a casing would be with spruce mulch. if its a good thing to use, then what would i need to make the casing? all help is appreciated. thanks.
