Poppy pod milking question...
    #1565132 - 05/21/03 09:09 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Ok... I have a nice little poppy garden, danish flags (I'll have some pics soon..), and lets imagine SWIM would like to try extracting a little opium from them... could SWIM cut a pod, leave the stem in a glass of water and milk it inside for more discretion?? SWIM is mainly planning to do poppy tea and puddy (by the way, were is P.C. recepy?? I can't find it on the search page... any links please?? It's for SWIM of course..) so, would that be possible or just a big waste of pods??? thanx.

Do you guys usually milk them for what they're worth and then make tea?

if you got quite a bunch i'd milk them, if you don't have more than an entire garden, save em for tea.

say I had one plant with only one pod
why not milk it 5 times !!

I read in an old national geographic that farmers in burma milk 5 times and the first is good
the second is better
the third is best
and the 4th and 5th are very poor but worth taking

anyway I want to milk and make tea and I dont think its stupid I know I am not going to get much and I am not looking to

!!!!!!!!the above was a mushroom induced delusion so the law does not apply!!!!!!!!!

Even milking it 5 times isn't alot of milk...

I wondering if you can get seeds and make a tea out of them, if you could this would be great  I'm gonna look this up. Round one you make tea and get seeds. Plant the seeds then round two you milk your opium forest

btw, I'm guessing its a bad idea to cut off your pods and put them in water since you're suppost to stop water the plants when the petals fall off...

Anyone know what the pods would be called buying them from flower people? I've heard people say you can buy like 20 for $10 I just dont know what name they would be under.

Contrary to popular myth, you can -- but you'll need a lot of seed...at least several hundred grams. Keep it under a kilo tho...the one time I exceeded that amount, the most unpleasant drug experience of my life followed.

I doubt the seeds themselves contain appreciable quantities of alkaloids. The effects are probably due to a residue of opium being attached to them, so a lot will depend on how they're processed prior to sale.

No no lol, I meant taking the seeds out of the pods and then tea out of the pods. That way I can grow more plants and get the good stuff
