I use the lid of the SGFC and fan by hand. Are you using an SGFC for your fruiting chamber?

Sorry didn't see the diagram there until after I posted. Consider that CO2 is heavier than O2. If you want to use the positive air flow I would place the fan on top of the FC so the CO2 would be pushed out. If you wanted to use negative airflow, place the fan on the bottom so the CO2 will be sucked out. IMO either would be fine.

No. At this time my fruiting chamber has no holes.

I would drill some exhaust holes near the bottom. Then place the fan on the lid using positive pressure (situation 1) .

I think that is going to be too dry if you have the fan inside the chamber and with no holes. I would make a SGFC or at least punch a good number of holes in that FC and leave that fan running so that the it will generate airflow around and in and out of the FC but not directly in it.

The area the box contains is not that great. If you are going to drill holes similar to the SGFC then I wouldn't worry about the fan. CO2 will be gathered at the bottom of the fruiting chamber. Then it will fall from the lower holes creating a vacuum that then pulls fresh air in from the top.

I would'nt put that fan anywhere inside.. it will probably dry out your cakes. Maybe put it outside a couple feet away blowing towards your FC. Or just fan and mist..

Cool, looks like you have it covered. I'm not sure the filter (med mouth mask) is required since the myc at this stage is fairly resistant to contams. As long as it doesn't restrict the air flow I'm sure it won't hurt.
I'm interested to know how it works out for you. I

After 20 hours value indicates:
Temp: 22.C / 71.6.F Humid: 80%
The cake like little dry. I heavy mist and stop the fan for the couple of hours.
Air circulation dry the surface mycelium.

You could always use an aquarium air pump to push in some fresh air.
Most people who make there FC semi-automated, they use air pumps on 24/7 for maximum FAE. And they don't have to worry about the dangers of electronics in a wet place.
I use an aquarium airpump/ultrasonic fogger mix for my semi-automated SGFC

sorry if i've missed any pertainant details before posting. Just skimmed over the thread real quick... xanax...
Anyway, this seems unncecesarily complex. I've used a regular SGFC and they are very forgiving of neglect. As long as you give it a good heaving misting once a day, you should be fine.
The original SGFC, when built to specs, will give you the best results for the amount of maintainance involved.
Don't get me wrong though, I admire your craftiness and application of the principals of air flow, and if this design works out, then more power to you.
But since I've embarked in this hobby, I've had to learn over and over, time and time again, that simpler is better.
