I made this liquid culture from extra stuff I had. The only thing I am wondering is in all the searching and guides I have seen the mycelium should be white but mine appears to be amber in color. It is definitely growing. Doubled in size in the last few days.

Is this ready and I have seen the only way to really test it is to inoculate something is this correct?

You should shoot up a jar of grain to test the syringe. Shoot up some grains with the LC to test it as well. Give it a sniff, does it stink? After the grain jar  innoc'd with ms syringe grows contam free, inject a syringe of sterile water in it shake the crap out of it  and suck it back up and presto, u could make a dozen more syringes from that one or shoot up an LC or 50 grain jars. But if you start with grain you wont waste your spores or time.

Thank you for the input that's my next step is procuring a pc to get grains going. I really want to do rye berries and wbs soon and then to agar. That's in the future though. I am making a couple brf jars to test the lc on while I wait for this bag to finish and spores to arrive inthe mail. Keeping myself busy so I am not constantly wanting to handle things. The lc smells like honey. I will try the thing you mentioned as soon as I have a pc next couple weeks or so.

I noc'ed up a couple brf jars with my lc which I really didn't expect to see much or anything for that matter this was roughly 3 days ago. I totally forgot about them went an looked and noticed a tiny bit of growth on all four sides of the inoculation points in both jars. I am excited to see the end results will post pics when the jar has colonized slightly more.

On another note my madbag is doing well. Is the substrate supposed to shrink a bit? The bag seems to have pulled away from the sides. I also noticed the bag has become very moist recently. Is this normal? No extra water has been added just followed the directions to a t.

Is the extra moisture metabolite or myc piss. If my terms are correct.
