I'm taking this class next semester, somewhat blindly. I looked a little into it and wow it's everything I love. A few of my friends will be in it too, one of them an old drug buddy. We've gotten fucked up so much together, tripped and shit. We might just have to trip for the sake of the class.
Anyone ever take it?

I'm taking "The mind and brain" Psych 201, just a basic course for my major.
I took psychology in high school and it was very interesting.
I'm also interested in study of "Developmental psychology", that is, the changes the mind go through as we age.

I've taken a few psych classes before, but transpersonal sounds so awesome. It's about transcending the human ego and getting in touch with your spiritual side.

i'd like to see how you would approach that topic from an intellectual point of view.
how to study the ineffable...

I don't think it IS from an intellectual point of view.
I had a friend who took it last semester, he said that often they would just go to the grass and meditate all period.

This book is a clarion call for an expanded vision of human possibilities. The 50 essays that make up Oaths Beyond Ego apply transpersonal thinking to individual growth, psychotherapy, meditation, dreams, psychedelics, science, ethics, philosophy, ecology and service. The result is an integrated and comprehensive overview of the many dimensions of human experience.
I think I'm gonna like this course.
