I can agree somewhat. But I also feel that people need something to anchor their personality on. The people I listed were people I wanted to emulate. I want to question, to inform, to understand, and to have the guts to change. I don't wanna completely copy them and make their views my own but I like their views so I'll take them and twist and change them until they coalesce into something unique.
Not sure if I got what I meant across cause I'm not exactly the greatest at expressing my thoughts but there you have it.
I understand completely.
Basically what your saying is that you'd like your life to be somewhat like theirs. You probably have the same interest and you see yourself in a similar field than them.
Or do I completely don't understand?

Not likely but for 50$ a day I can be yours. Seriously if you try to be more like me you might have a prosperous life, high quality drugs and maybe (just maybe) a female companion. Also people will respect you and look up to you from the shithole they live in.
What do you say? 50$/day is a fair price to pay for that, no?

Essentially. It was one of those things where I had rather similar beliefs then I came across these people and something clicked. That and these people did something meaningful. They incited change, spread idea, make people question what they knew. I'd rather admire that then admire some football player cause they have the most rushing yards in the league or something worthless like that. S'not to say I don't admire them for having the dedication and skill to make it to professional but when one compares Ghandi to Tom Brady its pretty clear who had more of an impact on the world.
-------------------- "I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."
