Mississippi shroom trouble
    #1562959 - 05/20/03 02:56 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

i've been having problems finding shrooms in my favorite feild... last summer i could go out there and there were cubes everywhere i looked, now i haven't found a single cube outta the 5 times i've visited it. there are mushrooms everywhere but not a single cube. the only difference i can see is that i started going in the feild in may, which is much earlier than last summer since i first found it in july. if anyone knows what might be going on please help.

Common sense should tell you that it's probably too early for them.

Usually the cubes will not grow when it becomes to hot. Rainy seasons have varied greatly in the last few years and another factor is the moving of catrtle form one paddock to another ion order for grasslands to replace the eaten grasses. SOme fileds I picked in Hawaii had shrooms for two or three years and then there were none for a couple of years and then book they were back again. OIT is always good to have several fields so when one does not have any the other does.

When I did not find shrooms on the Kailua side of Oahu I would go up tothe North Shore onthe north end of the island and pick them there.
