These fuckers are awesome...not only do they put hair on your chest, they are great for alcohol binges, and mexican bitches will respect you if u can eat them. Frankly, you aren't a man in the southwest if you can't eat some good, tongue-frying jalapenos.
La Costena is an excellent brand....nice firey jalapenos, with pieces of onion and carrot pickled in.....

Dude, those arent even that hot in my opinion... We pickle our own here on the farm, and we have these quart jars of habaneros pickled... Dear god, youll shit red hot fire for two days after eating that shit....
I can eat a can of those pickled jalapenos like a boss since I have gotten relatively used to habaneros.
-------------------- No. No, man. Shit, no man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked sayin' somethin' like that man.

I agree that habaneros are much hotter. But I had a Mexican friend whose family had a farm in Deming, New Mexico, they grew big red fuckers for use only as coloring in makeup, and I ate some on enchiladas. Fuck, I almost died, They were so hot I couldn't breathe. Not only that, his wife was at the university, didn't wear underwear and was hotter than their peppers. She fucked me until I couldn't take it anymore.

one year i grew 8 hab plants next to 8 jalapeno plants, i swear they cross polinated or some kind of witchcraft, cause the jalapenos were ridiculously hotter than normal but they are so awesome. only pickled like 6 jars of em tho. the habs what ever we didnt use fresh i dehydrated and ground into a powder to sprinkle on stuff to make it burn. i call it Death Powder.

Yeah! What's up with extreme differences in jalapenos? The ones I have put on mah Subway sandwiches are barely hot...but when I go to Five Guys I can't take it! And I love spicy stuff. The jalapenos at Five Guys are like glowing neon green.

I can't wait to put my garden in and start growing peppers again, it's been to years since I last grew them. I have had luck with, jalapenos, serrano and thai peppers. Going to have give some habaneros a go, though I am admittedly a weeny with the real hot peppers.
First year I was growing jalapenos I was picking them once and a while eating them. They where real mild and kind sweet. Then some damn pepper fairy came by one night and sprinkled them with crazy dust. The next day I went to eat one and was surprised by some (to me) serious heat. Last one I ate like that
Looking forward to making some hot sauces and canning peppers.
