dunk caseing

I wouldnt dunk it you will soak way to much water in your mix give it a good spray if it looks dry

casings can definitely be dunked. pour on water (with no fruitbodies anywhere) and cover. refridgerate if you wish. i haven't let it soak for more than 8 hours. drain off all water aas carefulyl as possible and patch the casing layer with a relatively dry casing mix of your choice. mist casing moisture if necessary. can cause massive flushing and dense yields.

from what i've read, and ime, you don't need to dunk a casing as there's no need for it to ever dry out - just keep it well misted to the right water content continuously. unless you're suggesting rehydrating the substrate underneath? dunno, mebbe. i'm a newbster too.
