I know there is a contam forum but I also thought of doing this with a regular cake too. I just found one of my cakes that was contaminated and thought I should give this a try. There's a field with many cows nereby. If I was to feed a few cakes to the cows how long should it take to get shrooms from them? And if that works I should only have to feed them cakes once...right. How long will they shit shrooms? If I have this all f^ please correct me. thanks

Well it seems you may think I should know the answer to this question. If I knew the answer I wouldn't have asked. Is this the place to ask questions and learn from the answers? If you have an answer please give it or just not post. thankyou

Hmm..
A: A cow probably wouldn't want to eat a contaminated cake. B: If the cow did eat the contaminated cake he could possibly fall over dead. C: The only thing that's coming out of their asses is going to be a lot of shit.

It wont work, and no double posting please. If theres cows, theirs poop, dig a hole, put some hay or straw or grass, the cake, crumbled, and some cow poo crumbled, and water. Its your best option.

I've fould shrooms in fresh patties not even a day old. So, you all are telling me spores germed, colonized and fruited in 24 hours. Spore don't die in a cows degestive track and from the looks of it the pattie is coming out colonized.

OK maybe a contaminated cake won't work but some thing is happening in the cows digestive track. You can't go from spore to fruit in about 24 hours.

Quite frankly, i dont believe you. Perhaps pins...but a mushroom cant fully develop in 24 hours, at least as far as i know..
Spores can germinate, but a fungus will just either HURT the cow, or be completely digested and wasted.
Also, i, and many others would like to see a colonized cow pattie out of a cows ass. Because its not going to happen. Yes, spores germinate in a cows stomach and are added into a nutrient rich straw or grass which they eat and comes out in a nutrient rich brown pile out of their ass. Spores are not fungus, much less, contaminated fungus.

I didn't time it but noticed shrooms on fresh patties. If I knew how this happened I wouldn't have posted this question.

I think both can happen. I remember(from school) cows have two stomachs and one ferment food.(fungus)

You maybe right. This is a question.

Dont they have 4 stomachs? The only thing that could very possibly just possibly have the slightest chance of success is because cows dont have stomach acid....but i think it will fail, and i think you would be successful if you made an outdoor bed as i siad...
