Not worried about death... I'm just grateful for this moment.

I'm definitely afraid of death.  I don't go to extremes to keep myself from dying, but the thought of my girl and family having to deal with my death at such a young age for the rest of their lives eats me up inside.

However, I think with family and loved one's feelings aside, I wouldn't have this fear.

there is no such thing as death. we do not really die, our physical bodies are no longer needed for US. the true beings we are are not these meat lockers. ive had too many OBE's to really deny it even if i wanted to.

I'm not afraid of death in general, but am afraid of an excessively painful death.

im really not up for being walking one day having a grand old time then having this strange feeling overcome me as i fall flat on my face crushing my skull off the pavement then rotting for a bit before some kids on a hike find this disgusting blue frothing pile of what use to be me. most people dont realize that more often than not they're gonna be in for a very messy disgusting death that may include smashing your face off something as you wonder wtf is happening or to have your kids find you blue on the floor with your tounge hanging out and shit smell coming from your pants but oh well

For a time I wasn't, but an acquaintance was just murdered and thinking about his last moments has reminded me how frightening the prospect of death is. I don't think there is any afterlife. Just ending, it scares me. I know I won't care because I won't exist, but still.

Everyone has to go eventually.  I'd prefer not to have a slow painful death, but I'm not afraid of the actual dying part.

Fearing something which is inevitable is pretty pointless and not very constructive.

Death is not to be feared, but not knowing how or when one will die can be very scary on its own.

its like going to a casino and putting a 100 million on the table to play one hand, but your cards can be dealt anytime from now until forever and while you wait you gata pay bills. Who knows when your hand will be dealt or if you will get to play again. Would you even want to play again after the first game?

Trying not to think about death will only make it worse. Why avoid something that is reality? If you lived forever, you would fear being trapped on this boring earth for eternity. You can only get so much out of life, then at some point, you will want to move on. Might not seem like it, But the possibility that you can die at any moment, is what makes life a miracle. People who are just living day to day, without ever thinking about death, will be hit with a horrifying surprise one day. While those who know, will be gifted with a pleasant escape. We are not the body, and we are not the mind. If you think that you are actually the body, You will not know what to do once you shed it.

half of the time , i could care less because I'm seeing hard times

the other half , the animal inside overrides common sense and subsequently chooses self preservation ,

I'm usually very afraid of dying, but during 3rd and 4th plateau DXM trips I easily accept the idea of death. Not so much due to losing my sense of self and not caring about my life, but more out of seeing how amazingly beautiful and mystifying the universe is, and knowing that just being a part of the it is more meaningful than anything else that I or anyone can do in life. Atheistic spiritualism at it's finest

Not afraid of the dying part... it depends on the pain, but everyone dies. I used to be afraid when I was younger (grade 3)
