What do you guys imagine the future to hold for humanity? Off topic one liners are welcome too I guess but longer more detailed answers would be appreciated...

You don't think people are all of a sudden going to decide flying cars are cool and start building them?

I have no idea actually. Things are showing promise or apocalypse for mankind. I still think it can go both ways. There has been improvement, but certain crucial things still need to change. Like the world stopping its self destruction.

I wouldn't be so sure of humans ability to correctly guess the end of the world.

Anyway hippies forget your silly fantasy about tribal people predicting the end of the world, we are talking about the future here.
I think shit will basically plug on as usual, no flying cars, nothing really fancy but maybe just a move to a cashless society as well as everything from your fridge to your microwave having bluetooth/internet/etc.
I see the internet becoming more mainstream, with things like a single user ID you need to use to connect to most internet sites and possibly later down the track a government bill requiring users on the internet to be identified.
As I am not a conspiracy nut I do not really see this as all bad, it just means the government will know how much porn I watch and how much tax I do not pay.
As I just bought property on the water I am betting half a million that global warming/water level rises are bullshit.

When the government micro chips you for "your" cashless society they will be about to track what ever you do. You better hope ALL drugs are legal by then...

Calm down hippies, you guys used to say that shit about mobile phones too. You already carry around chips in your mobile phones and they don't bother tracking your every move even though they have the tech to do it.
They also already have a database of every person with pics, personal info, where they go etc, it is called facebook. Again turns out they don't do shit with it.
I want to talk about the future not bullshit hippy paranoid delusions. Unless they are your version of the future I guess....?
What do you think will be invented? What countries are going to be the super powers? How will every day life be different?

Yeah I think that's true. I think we're one big joke to them. They know they have it good.

What time frame?
If you look 1000 years from now i believe we have started to get over jealousy through interraction between science/atheism and religions. As we will realize agnosticism (or a new 'modern' term) is the only way to get along.
10.000 years we have colonized on a planet or star.
100.000 years we have encountered other species in the universe, more advanced and less advanced.
We will stil have no idea...
I also think we will be able to reincarnate through DNA. So i wouldnt count on "you only live once".
Then im looking at a "realistic" picture i have got from connecting with other human beings.
If i look in a realistic lane within me id say:
This is just a dream or something because i, unfortunately, have no fucking clue what kind of a circle im born into.
Its too simple to say "its right there, infront of you", or is it?

After control through science, i hope and put trust in humanity they will realize the ultimate truth is themselves and within themselves there is connection through and with fellow human beings.

The current solution is the 'fusion center', but it's only a substitute for the full time, real time machine of their dreams. They have some of the technology, but not all of it. Tracking everyones every move isn't economically feasable at the moment. There are legislative problems that also take time to change.
Uncontested powers generally want more and history both recent and ancient bores that out quite well IMO. My guess is that we have seen the future and it is the past. I don't think it likely that 'new' world orders become reality, cause it's all the same old world order.

Maybe for you old man
The average age of most shroomery members I would guess is around 15, so most people on here are going to be forced to suffer another 55 or so years of life.
