Saving Private Lynch story 'flawed'
    #1558371 - 05/18/03 08:59 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

But her story is one of the most stunning pieces of news management ever conceived.

Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.  :smirk:

It's as bad as the staged toppling of the Saddam statue - with the "joyful" crowds consisting of guys flown in from Washington the week before.

WTF????

I like this:

Quote:

There was one more twist. Two days before the snatch squad arrived, Harith had arranged to deliver Jessica to the Americans in an ambulance.

But as the ambulance, with Private Lynch inside, approached a checkpoint American troops opened fire, forcing it to flee back to the hospital. The Americans had almost killed their prize catch.

That's great.

This is good too

Quote:

It was like a Hollywood film. They cried 'go, go, go', with guns and blanks without bullets, blanks and the sound of explosions. They made a show for the American attack on the hospital - action movies like Sylvester Stallone or Jackie Chan."

When an American eats a hamburger, it's like watching an American eat a hamburger in a movie.

Really, I have no sympathy for the girl anyway. If your a COOK, or whatever, you should NOT be wandering about in the desert...IMHO...

If they want to go, I suppose you can let them...But they should know damn well that, and I'm not saying this to be mean, but its a fact, that they're liable to be raped and otherwise abused. I mean, why would you put yourself through that?

lol. I just noticed this at the end of the article...
"But doctors now say she has no recollection of the whole episode and probably never will."

apparently she was "debriefed" by the army. I wonder who did more brainwashing, the Iraqis or the army...

I don't really care either... thousands of people died, including over a hundred Americans and everyone is focusing on this one made-up story... it's truly sad. I guess it's a "feel good" story... too bad it's all bullshit. this just makes the american media look really bad, they're as bad as al-jazeera. all lies and full of shit.

FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! the thing that drives me MAD is that most americans will never know what really happened because no one here is gonna report this, they'll just go on believing the original story.

Well. Most of the folks around here just take the U.S. reported facts, turn them 180, and report that as truth.

I don't care what the "real" story is...
but even her father confirmed that she was never stabbed or shot so someone was lying...
all I know it that the original story was a LIE!
I'm pissed because they don't give a fuck about the TRUTH. it was just a good STORY to feed to the SHEEP...

"she fought bravely to the last bullet until she was shot blah blah blah....... she was rescued by special ops fighting their way into a HOSPITAL blah blah....."

man I hate the media

i don't believe for one sec that the soldiers were sent in there with blanks. It may have been exagerated but to say that they went in unarmed is fucking stupid. This is what happens when you read the BBC.
