Nah, you're good! It's mycelium!

i thought those "crusty white" speckles on the caps were remnants of the veil left over from when the pin was a wee primordia?

or perhaps the op was referring to something else.

I am fairly certain the little white spots he is asking about are patches of mycelium on the caps.

Those white specks are pieces of the universal veil.

Not always.  Many strains of cubensis do not have apparent universal veil remnants after the primordia stage.

I always thought there was a difference between universal veil remnants and the small patches of mycelium commonly seen on cubes.

Apparently not but I presume that mycelium grows over the tissue left over.

Totally hear ya on that, you're cake is f'ing awesome. Super jealous.

This is also a set it and forget it situation. Pretty just much fanning, US takes care of moisture. I have all kinds of things going, I just can't help but experiment. I've got this set up, a reservoir cake, a monotub, invitro bags, trays, a mini SGFC. None have been failures but this is the best result I've gotten so far.

Not sure where you're located but I'm in Wisconsin so it's pretty cold here right now so keeping my humidity high has been a problem and this little set up has had me at 99% RH.

Lolol wholly shoot u r a busy soul wow I envy ur time lol.

Ya don't have a Hyrgometer or thermometer like I said to RR if u make ur SGFC to spec and have correct Perlite size and depth should SHOULD go no problem and it does evident by my returns. I get ya a link for this its a fun read.

User banned.

I've been warning for months to you guys to stop asking questions, and then when you get your answer, to delete all your posts like an idiot.

This is going to stop right here, right now.

Any more threads where the OP deletes his shit after getting his answer is going to result in being banned from the site.  Anyone who thinks 'deleting' his posts removes them from the 'internet' is retarded.  Paranoia only attracts attention to oneself and generates the opposite of what is desired.

We tell noobs to UTFSE, but when they do and find fucked up answers to deleted questions, it screws everything and every one.  Spread the word, this will not be tolerated!

I'll lock this later after anyone who wishes to comment can do so.

This is one of the many reasons I cant be bothered to UTFSE.  If I have a question I just ask AMU.  I never tell anyone to UTFSE.  If your going to tell someone that why bother posting at all?

Because intelligent people will look for their answer first, and then only ask what they don't understand.

How many times per day do we need to answer the question, "How do I grow shrooms?"

Without a search engine, there would be nothing but first-day questions getting asked over and over and over again, and no experienced members would post here.

RR made me a firm believer in the search engine.

Keep up the good work. And why isnt this thread locked yet?

Only unintelligent people looking to look intelligent would answer a question with UTFSE instead of answering the question.

RR have you ever told anyone to UTFSE?
