Why am I here?
    #1557056 - 05/17/03 10:18 PM (20 years, 10 months ago)

I came to this dimension for a reason I'm sure. But what is that reason? Why without knowledge of my past?

To experience mortal life and grow spiritually?
To try and help this reality and it's population of other souls?
To serve some other purpose?

Is this a temporary prison? Did I do something I wasn't allowed to do in a previous reality? Is this a test?

Why without the knowledge of my past? Did I not have an ego before this? Was I part of another soul?

............?

Why are you here?

--------------------
What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

I came to this dimension for a reason I'm sure. But what is that reason?

How can you be sure? Why must there be a reason?

Is there a reason for the fly buzzing around my bedroom? Or the tree growing outside my window? Or for the fungus living on my foot?

Why without knowledge of my past?

If you have no knowledge of your past, how do you know you have a past?

To experience mortal life and grow spiritually?
To try and help this reality and it's population of other souls?
To serve some other purpose?

So basically you're saying "To live?"
I think you're on to something there...

Here's how I think of it:

Life recycles itself periodically. Life is light. I also believe there are other universes, and infinite amount, past present, future.

So why is it here? I am not sure. We at least have the choice; we've been given the best gift of all... life.

I can tell you that we are all one. Existence is that one force asking What is going on? We are the answer man.

Because time is not linear, we experience creation and de creation simultaneously.

Anybody else?

To experience mortal life and grow spiritually?

no, but it will make you feel good believing it.

To try and help this reality and it's population of other souls?

that would be a nice thing to help fellow humans... but don't fill their head with more bullshit.

To serve some other purpose?

there is NO purpose. you exist.

Why are you here?

why does there have to be a why? it is strange that all the "why's" lead to nothing, but its the truth.

The questions wern't really supposed to be answered, except the last one...kinda. What I'm trying to say is that I don't know, and nobody here knows either what was before being here on earth.

I don't try to fill people's heads with bullshit, I just try to make them think.

why does there have to be a why? it is strange that all the "why's" lead to nothing, but its the truth.

It IS the truth. You hit it right on with that one!

I believe that I don't know. Neither does anyone else. And we might not even find out when we die.

What is truth?

why am I here? What am I? Where do I begin? Whats it all about? What is the bigger picture?

These questions have been eating away at the minds of many for a long long time. I spose all of us here on the right track to finding it out, but dosn't this all make us ask more questions than it answers?

I think we have knowledge of our past we just cant remember. Without it we are lost and confused all looking for something but when we relearn what we have forgot it'll be even better than if we remebered the whole time.

"What is truth? "
--------------

I believe that I was not discussing truth,  rather, reason.

How about this....

If truth were a hidden lie? What is a lie then?

[ edit*  Would there be any differentiation between a lie and a supposed "white" lie? ]

I think that maybe our past (before here) is for the most part lost, like when you wake up from a dream and think nothing of it and it fades away.

Or maybe our brains can only store what we experience while we are physical. That sure makes sense to me.

Maybe this reality is very forign to us and we have to adapt quickly (while a child) instead of remembering our past that our brains can't totally comprehend.

Sometimes while trippin, I sense my past, but it's still blurry......maybe because my soul is 'loose' and not totally connected to my body, allowing me to remember things from berore.

We live in a physical world. Our soul 'remebers' somethings while our brian remebers others. We've adapted, we can spend time trying to remeber our past. There are different types of remebering, I dunno about you guys but certain things feel different trying to remeber them, like you're tapping into a different source of memory. Kinda like how you remeber dreams, you dont search your normal memory.

"Why without the knowledge of my past? Did I not have an ego before this? Was I part of another soul?"

heh well I think if we knew/remembered for sure what was going on before/after this human experience we wouldn't really be "human" because we'd just be and it would be really hard to focus on survival if we had non-human "data/experience" retained in us somewhere.

its like death is liberation from the confines of being a particular life-form with particular needs

edit (addition): sorry.. that was kinda off-topic - lol..

Why? To Learn.

More specifically, to learn, experience, and evolve, mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally.

Is this a test? Without a doubt, there are many tests in everyday existance. It's all part of the lesson.

There could be hundreds of reasons why someone is here. But everyone has the same basic reasons. But we all have individual needs and lessons to learn.

I am here to learn, to teach, and to assist the transition into 5th density in any and every way possible. That is my life mission.

i wasnt 100 percent serious. But why do you guys feel the need to have a purpose to your life? do you really believe that you are here for a reason? or are you just telling yourself that in order to justify your day-to-day life?
