christmas is a load of bullshit, buying shit you dont need,listening to songs you dont want,while the rest of the world starves to death.I'll gather with my family and all but man, fuck presents and fuck santa. 
this time of the year is over-rated and is nothing more than a capitalistic ritual designed by people eager to make more profits by screwing you over. y'all can kiss my jingle bells if you dont agree

I just love being with my wife and family.
This time of year makes me realize how much I love everyone, how precious life is, and how the greatest gift you can get is a hug or a phone call.

fuck.. for the last several years I have been boycotting xmas.
This year my mother pleaded with me to buy gifts for everyone else in the family so I can show them I care for them.
I did, but only as a request from my mother. I feel dirty and used that I actually spent money that could have gone to my property tax, food for my family, or send to help someone else out instead of buying useless shit that they probably will bitch about behind my back anyways.
I too fucking hate xmas and our society

It's the biggest holiday in the world, and should be embraced if possible. Trying to hate it will get you nowhere, why fight the tide.
Buying gifts is essential to the economy, failure to buy things for people will do more harm than good. Christmas is a powerful combination of religious tradition and modern day gift giving (capitalism) at work, why hate it?

Christmas is great. I spent about $200 between my dad, sister and girlfriend, and I'm not bitchin about it.
Besides, spending money is good for our economy. Every dollar you spend helps employ someone who is trying to afford presents for their family.

I'm not poor at all dude, I'm just not stupid enough to spend money on over-priced junk that was made in china buy children who couldnt afford the shit they make themselves. I got better things to do with my money and my family and loved ones know that I'll care for them no matter what. oh and fuck the economy, it's too late to save it anyway, it's all going down folks. that's just mindless rationalizations for your egoistics desires.

This year I'm writing my mom a short story. It's what she wants, doesn't cost a thing. Maybe it's an age thing too? I just don't want gifts that I'd rather just get myself. So, my family at least, has forgone all gift giving and now we're just making everyone bring a dish of food for Xmas dinner. So much easier. Stress should not be part of the holiday experience.

I'm nowhere near religious and my mother sent me a prayer shawl. I don't even know what the fuck these things are supposed to do or what they mean, but it's a gift my mother put time and love into. If that's not a beautiful show of affection for a son I don't know what is.
