Can an ultrasonic fogger make a FC too humid?

My friend put an ultrasonic fogger in a SCFC and after 30 minutes it basically looks like there is a thin cloud inside of it now. The humidity must be 99.9999%. There is an aquarium pump to move around the air, and the fogger is on a timer 15min on and 45min off. He has both cakes and casings in it. Could this near 100% humidity be too much (especially for the casing)?

Yes. "Enough! or Too Much!"
Lose the ultrasonic and the air pump and trust the process. A properly made per tek Shotgun will deliver the goods every time (when placed in an open room with bottom exposed). Fan and mist gently 2-3 times throughout the day and you're golden. No worries.
Airflow is just as important as humidity (maybe more so!)for hyphal formation. 100% humidity doesn't necessarily mean "wet". Fortunately for us, the shotgun provides both in ideal amounts (provided you replace lose moisture with misting)so don't over think this. KISS. You want those cakes to 'appear dry' for a few hours a day. You'll thank me later.
Hope this helps!

oops, no cakes. You don't want to saturate a casing layer that's for sure. Lose that stuff and trust the process.
Good Luck!

yea, it's too much, I'd say. SGFC's are good, but there are plenty of options with the humidifier. You could hook it to a big jug, and then have another hose running to the f/c, that would cut back the fog You could run it, and then fan it thats all I can think of off the bat

Someone could also use a humidity controller/timer
