They're good.

But I mean you can just play 5-8-77 or something and save yourself the cash.

Seen 'em plenty of times... if ya haven't, do it once, just to see how well they recreate the experience.

I think they're incredibly talented and reputable. Bob even sat in with them once. I catch them every time they come to my home town. Go see them you won't be dissapointed. Sure it's not the Grateful Dead but they really sound like them. The lead guitarist really has Jerry's style down.

we walked out part way through the show we went to see. it was just too close to the 'real thing'. it didn't add or change anything; it felt almost sacriligeous. but that was just us. they are really talented and really do 'hit the nail on the head'. i guess i wouldn't have such an aversion if i hadn't seen the real dead so many times. or if i hadda been tripping.

I've seen them. They're good.

I forget which show they did, but I remember that they did "Spoonfull" by Cream.

I admit they are good, I've seen them 2 times but I will never again. Cover bands should be 5 bucks at the bar door, not touring the coutry making a living off of other real Musicians work. I'd rather go see the Shwag.

I'm one of those unlucky people who never saw the Grateful Dead, so I'll get my fill any way I can even if it involves a little imagination.

Do the Shwag ever come up your way? I catch them in Iowa City every now and then, sometimes they are really good, sometimes they are really wasted.

I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up.  let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it.  Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left.  I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me.  I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it.  epic win for me, epic fail for you.

ythan, you rock dude.  i feel that my time at the shroomery was very positive and enjoyable, but this site is no longer for me. im not mad or upset or disappointed, i just want no part in a pg rated faggot festival.

I don't think the Shwag is ever in my neck of the woods. I never heard of em. Maybe they have been here and I just don't know it.

MY FRIEND, I JUST SAW THEM AND I CAN SAY.

THEY ARE WORTH IT.

They're not spectacularly awsome but they're fucking awsome.

It's a show worth seeing if you like jam bands. I saw them at Live Oak

Live Oak? was that for the String Cheese show?

Or were they at The Florida Music Harvest?

Yeah DSO are definately talented and definately sound incredibly like the Dead, it's almost scary at times.....but the energy is somewhat different. A friend of mine said if you close your eyes it's like your at a dead show, I disagree however. Still definately worth seeing. Can get pretty nostalgic......

YES MAN, exactly. They jam the fuck out and it's great.

Shit man, I some pics too.

I didn't get a pic of the painter but the man's name is Scramble Cambel and he's like another part of the band. Ya know there's a bassist, drummer, guitarist, and Scramble is the fucking band's PAINTER! He paints right next to the band as they're jamming out. He's the shit and makes all kinds of fucked up paintings. I'll post some others later.

Here's Dark Star Orchestra
