Hi guys, I found these yesterday growing on the side of a road under some live oaks in the leaf litter. When I pulled them up, there was a lot of lavender mycelia around the base of the stem. I have never seen Cortinarius with that much mycelia around the base, so I'm pretty sure they are blewits. There is no sign of a cortina and the gills are mostly lavender with some of the larger ones having browner gills. They don't smell like orange juice to me, but they are kinda fruity. I took a spore print to make sure and it turned out nearly invisible on white paper, but you can just barely make out a hint of pink. Never having seen blewits in the wild before, I just wanted to confirm my ID with you guys.

Looks like it, did you print them?  Pinkish print is good, brownish is bad.

Look good to me

But like Landlord said, spore print them if you have any doubts.

Yeah, I took a spore print. It was very pale pink, almost white. I guess that means they are blewits?
Thanks for the help guys:smile:
