Well, I made it to the fruiting stage and have ran into a problem that I cannot seem to find a solution for. Summer is creeping up quick and throughout the day the room temperature are up in the 80's, what do some of you do to lower the temps in your fruiting chamber? I have one chamber with cakes that have a air bubbler and perlite and than another one with 2 casings with the same setup; however, it is a much larger container. Thanks for all of your help.

an easy way to lower temperature in a terrarium is to simply put a glass full of ice or two in there. it requires a bit of attention to change the ice when it melts, but it is one of the more simple solutions to the problem otherwise.
Good luck

Take care to keep your windows and doors shut in the summer. Heat travles down it's thermal gradient meaning that when the temp. inside your house in the morning is lower than the temp. outside, open windows or doors will allow the heat to come in in a hurry.

Keep some fans on your terrarium that have the cold air option. They have the tower fans at Wal-Mart for 30 dollars and they don't take up much space. Also, the ice in terrarium works, but you have to be careful because some ice boxes have lots of mold spores.

Ok I have a very similar problem so this is what i do: I freeze bottles of water like plastic bottles 1 litre ones take them outta the freezer spray them with a strong solution of Hydrogen peroxide (h2o2) and keep them in the chamber...i do this every time it goes in and tend to use the same bottles...do this to keep contams at bay...I keep a check on the temps so i know when to chage the bottle...after the temps stabalise at what i want them to be i usually have to do this only once daily....your mileage may vary depending on the size of your chamber etc. Oh btw...When you fill the bottles and cap them keep a little space otherwise they break..cause the water expands if u fill them to the brim...

I got some long tube popsicles and stuckem In the perlite standing up and put a fan on outside directed at closed chamber.seems to keep temps down in mid to low 70s. Also try changing the light source to a smaller led light. Should give out less heat
