Non-active species
    #1548211 - 05/14/03 03:03 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

I have a feeling this one has been asked before, but here goes. Could anyone recommend an edible species of mushroom that grows well on cased grain,or dung, and likes the same growth parameters as cubenisis? Ideally my pet prairie dog would like to try to expand his repertoire, but not necessarily have to set up another terrarium. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Poked around the other side(medicinal and gourmet) but didn't really find what I was looking for.

Wtf? Amanitas are almost impossible to cultivate and they are psychoactive. This doesn't make any sense fugu.

since when does fugu ever make sense?

I've found the best course of action is generally
the exact opposite of what he's suggested.

Amanitas will kill you, lol... some make you really really drunk though... I did a report on them for my Chemistry class, and the toxins that they contain... there are lots of differant ones, but most of the effects are bad, unless you wanna risk it for a euphoric drunk feeling. Amanita Muscaria, also known as the Fly-Agaric...

if you actualy try eating them, don't say I didn't warn you... =/

Oysters, H. ulmarius, reishi. . .try using puctured bags or such, as they aren't really tray mushrooms. Many others will likely work cased in a cube terrarium with some adjustments to the system. TMC/GGMM has the parameters to shoot for.
