Consequence of leaving cakes in jars to long.
    #1547912 - 05/14/03 12:54 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Sadly I am separated from my cultivation project and will be for another week or so. When I left (3 days ago) I estimated about 4-5 more days for my jars to be fully colonized because they were slowing down quite a bit there towards the end. Since I won't be back for another week or so what is the consequence of leaving the cakes (PF style) in the jars past the time they are fully colonized? Is it ok to let them stay in there or should I phone my assistant and have him birth them?

ive heard it recommended to keep them in the jars an xtra week after the appearance of total colonization just to be sure, if u've been exposing them to light like everyday then they could start pinning in the jars, so if ur real noid bout it u could have the assistant throw them in the fridge til u get back once they look like they are fully colonized, but i wouldnt stress personally

The mycelium will form a bunch of rhizomorphs (?spelling?). Would be great if you case those cakes.
