Tons of pins on casing, should I ...
    #1544528 - 05/13/03 10:14 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

my friend crumbled and cased some BRF cakes with 60/40 verm/coir. The myc grew through the casing layer so theres a little myc all over the top of the casing. They've started to develope knots, and Jesus H Christ theres a LOT of them! Or so I've heard.

His question is this: would it help improve the yield if he added another casing layer over it?

mD

the casing layer has no nutrients in it, so no i don't believe it would increase your friends yeilds, if they want increased yeilds use more substrate. what is the substrate if you dont mind my asking. surely not just the cakes.
