it's not like my biceps are small, but my tricep:bicep ratio is not what you expect to see from the average gym rat, so it looks a little strange. most lifters' biceps are out of proportion anyway.:smirk:

Yeah, your arms aren't exactly small. I love bent over rows for biceps and back, have you tried anything like that?

Well, I found my lifting music for this week! Rise Against. Good amount of screaming, some mellower stuff, amazing lyrics. Earlier HC (pre makeup wearing fucktards) and it's gotta be their earlier punk rock influenced stuff, but it's great!

This is what I got done, my arms felt like they were tearing my skin when I was relaxed, it made lifting hard lol first time I've had this feeling in years! Huge pump, even though the supplemental stuff didn't feel like I was doing much. Going back to SS next lift, now that I've got an idea of where my 5RM is.

Lol I used to as well, and the newer social distortion, but it's better than the newer HC stuff IMO. I was thinking I was in a club at the gym today with the crap they were playing.

I started taking Jack3d again today. I have also been cutting my carbs as much as I can. I only eat meat, eggs, lettuce, and protein shakes that are low carb.

Today I was able to do military press with 65lb dumbbells for 5 reps.

I eat a little cheese too. I think it's doable. My normal day goes like this. (I'm at the end of my second day).

6:40 am: 3 eggs with a little cheese, 20 gram protein shake
8:20 am: 30 gram protein shake
10:05 am: 30 gram protein shake
12:10 pm: salad with a little cheese nonfat dressing and 40 gram protein shake
2:45 pm: 30 gram protein shake
4:30 pm: 30 gram protein shake
6:30 pm: good sized portion of chicken or beef
8:30 pm: another good sized portion of chicken or beef
may throw in one more protein shake tonight before bed

this includes lots of water throughout the day

ithink be careful with all the protein and little to no carbs too much protein can throw your body into ketosis an throw your kidneys a hardball.

just from shakes alone youve got over 200grams with the food your probably well over 350 and theres not much in the realm of fats there either.

Carbs arent bad especially if they are carbs from veggies and not simple carbs like corn or potatoes i mean real veggies.

just a suggestion. I tried an all meat no carb diet and it made me really tired all the time. once i threw in veggies and some fruit for some carb intake things went alot easier and it was a much more easy to work with diet.

I thought ketosis was the whole point. Isn't that when your body converts to using fat for energy?

Check out keytonic cyclonic diet.  Kind of a long term look at ketonic dieting.  I want to get on a cyc-ket diet at some point, just for the exp.  Seems like a ton of work though.  Lots of planning a head.

Try and get more solid food protein than powders. Throw a chicken breast in your salad rather than the shake, and maybe throw some quinoa (whole protein) or brown rice in with dinner. Carbs are really good post workout with your protein because it triggers an insulin spike and shuttles macronutrients into your cells. Bodybuilders are now using lantus and humalog (insulin) injections post workout to get their muscles more glucose and protein.

If they are carbs won't they fuck up my ketosis? Don't I already get enough carbs for basic needs from the meat and protein shakes I ingest?

To be honest I just kind of winged it. I was quite close to my goals before this, and I can't see it taking much fat loss at all to have the definition I seek. I would think 5 pounds would be plenty.

If you were cutting for a bodybuilding competition then yes, otherwise (from talking to IFBB pro natural Steve Cook) try for about 200g of carbs a day, 60g of fat, and 400g of protein. That's what he said he does and he remains within 5 pounds of contest physique all year. A good clean diet is what's key and training of course. I've never seen my abs, and don't care to restrict my diet cuz I really really love all food. I wouldn't personally try the ketosis diet cuz with creatine and my horrible habit of bot drinking enough water I don't wanna fuck up my kidneys. I'm sure that most people who supplement protein regularly are in a minor form of ketosis anyways.
