Who has smoked E-Cigs?

The electronic cigarette has been around since 2002. It uses micro-technology to vaporize nicotine extract. No smoke, no combustion. You charge it up it once a day and it's good to go.

So am I to believe that this shit is foreal? Can it help curb a person's smoking habits? I found an article on the subject.
Quote:
Can The E-Cig Help You Quit Smoking?
The Food and drug administration is picky about what can pass as a 'smoking cessation device' however, our report found that users who combine the E-ciggarette with an herbal product called Nicodyne had a great success with kicking the habit. The combination of using the E-cig when a craving strikes, and Nicodyne to reduce the amount of cravings turned out to be a dynamic duo for those looking for help in the fight to quit smoking.
Nicodyne has a combination of effects including: decreased cravings, less stress and anxiety, and a cleansing of the body of the toxins related to smoking.
Well, I'll be damned. Been meaning to quit. This sounds legit. Anyone have experience with these things?

Yeah, E cigs are pretty cool. However, although they can give you a buzz much like a real cig, most people who I've talked to that own them are STILL smoking regular cigs as well.
Aside from that, the e cigs are handy. You can use them indoors, literally anywhere- since there is no smoke and no odor, these e cigs aren't illegal to smoke inside.
They are also fairly pricey, (still less than cigs though). The cheapest one Ive found is 45$ for a starter pack (enough to last you a month).

I had one not long since but the atomiser didn't last that long, can't remember exactly but i think i got a month and a half out of it, but that was only the cheap £20 model.
It worked great but there's a knack to keeping them working efficiently, when they're working well i prefer them to tobacco. If you get one buy the liquid refill and get used to refilling the cartridges or else it can get pricey, the cartridges don't last anything like as long as they say, i was going through like 5 a day..
It feels like you have a lungful with them though and if you go full strength it'll kill the majority of your cravings besides the occasional need to taste the real stuff.

Yeah they definitely take care of the craving, but I don't want to just switch over the addiction from real cigs to fake cigs. I would rather quit all out.

Then make that the plan. It is still probably much safer to smoke than a real cig though.

Absolutely, way safer without a question.
I've been reading this ebook by Alan Carr called 'The Easy Way to Quit Smoking' ..and it has shed a lot of light on the disgusting habit that is smoking.
edit: although the health risks are essentially nonexistent with the e-cigs, I still wouldn't want to spend that much money per month on a nicotine addiction.
They say it takes three weeks for the withdrawal period to go away.
Non smokers don't have that constant urge to smoke..I want to be that way too. (not trying to thread jack, I had an E bomb.)

Well you'd switch and cut down i suppose, i was happy with a substitute,, . I did have a habit of drawing on it constantly though, it was great for tripping, real satisfying to use.

I had one for a while but ended up breaking it, it was pretty cool. Definatly got me more addicted to nicotine though because I was smoking that inside and cigs outside.

I never thought of that, I suppose they would be great for tripping. If I was rich I would have already bought one haha.

they should make refillable THC cartridges, you know, for medical uses...

I am using the ecigs for few years. But at start i was trying to reduce my normal cigar usage. But slowly reduced its use and replaced the same with an e cig.The choice of flavor and the reduced health hazard is the best advantage of e-cigarette.

I have had 3 e-cigs so far ( within the last year )
I had this Vermont one Pros : 10 hour battery life Cons : No "filter" so it would leak. ( Nic juice is nasty! )
Then I had the joye 510 Pros: None Cons: Battery life was mad short. Horrible hits. Terrible "dirty" buzz.
And my last one was the Vapor King Pros : battery life was decent, hit AMAZING, lots of vapor Cons : The battery died quick.
I'm still smoking cigarettes. It's just not the same. You don't get that instant gratification you get from a real cigarette.
It's a bitch when you're out in public, smoke your c-cig here and there over 2-3 hours, and it dies on you. Also, if you run out of liquid, it's pretty gay to have to fill it up at a random place ( Bathroom, restaraunt, etc )
They are a lot better for you, yes.
But if you're looking to quit. Don't count on them helping you.
The only way ( imo ) to quit a cigarette, is to quit completely.
You can smoke crack, or snort cocaine.. but at the end of the day, you're still doing the same drug.

I've smoked out of a higher quality e-cig that one friend of mine had, and a cheaper kind that another friend had, they were both pretty cool especially for smoking indoors but t's not quite as satisfying as smoking a real cigarette unfortunately...since it's nicotine vapor i have no idea why that is.
but then again I don't find smoking weed out of a vaporizer to be as satisfying as taking a nice rip from a bong either so don't take my word for it

Only buy one if your serious about trying to quit. If you do decide to get one don't bother with the real pricy ones. I would get one that lets you change out the entire back cartridge rather then the ones you put drops of fluid into, those tend to start having a metallic taste after continued use.

Only buy one if you're not serious about quitting. If you're serious about quitting then fucking quit already.
