given the choice of verm, verm/coir, or verm/jiffy mix, which produces the most fruits on average?? also, what is the smallest casing that one can make, any pics of a mini casing? i was thinking like 2 two cake casings.

Most people would suggest Coir is the best non nutritious casing material, with verm of course.

Ive seen two cake casing, 1/2 pints right? I would think 2 cakes crumbled and cased in salad bowls would do just fine.

You can make casings as small as you wan't You could make a casing using 1/2 of a 1/2 pint jar, it is upto you. (BTW-Jiffymix = Verm+Peatmoss), Coir/verm seems to work well in my friends experiments, he says it tends to contamn less than jiffy mix casings. Two 2cake casings would work, but you could go with 4-1cake casings, or 8 1/2 cake casings it is really upto you, but remember these casing layers are non-nutritous so the smaller your colonized substrate get the less nutrients available for your fruits.

We might get glimpse's of objectivity every now, and then, but we're so inherently locked in our temporal and corporeal selves that we're irrevocably locked into subjectivity

i can only tell you with what i have had good results. I have done 100% verm. I have done 50/50 (verm/peat moss) tek, and after this one i am going to go with the 50/50+ tek.

until now i will say that 50/50 is way more superior than 100% verm any day!

coco coir:

buy it at pet stores. Ask for bricked reptile bedding. Brand names: "Forest Bed" or "eco earth"
