Gone for too long?

Unc., who doesnt got a comp wants me to ask U's a question. He's gunna be gone from his cakes and his casing for at least 10 days. All his cakes and casing have a respectable number of pins and fruits on them. Question is he wants to preserve them until he gets back.

Hes also tried cutting holes and using polyfill but CO2 and stagnant air still built up, can he refridge them (with or w/o picking the immature fruits?) and he has no type of automated system for air exchange, but if he did get onehe wouldnt wanna leave it runnig for that long without a timer (he cant find timers) wat should i tell my unc before he makes his trip to beach side oklahoma?

well.... sometimes my cat leaves his casing for a 3-4 days. he took a syringe and squirted a lot of water in between the mushrooms. the tub was covered with syran wrap, which he pulled back half-way. when he got back he watered the hell out of it again. the thing to be most worried about, in my opinion, is the mushrooms. pick the cake clean before you leave. one time, when my cat left for a few days, a mushroom, that had already dropped its spores started to turn weired colors (black and brown). anyways, ten day might be too long. i couldnt tell you for sure. good luck!
