That's if the soul/essence is carried on in the first place.
peoples experiences point to it

cold reading (being able to look at someone and 'know' things about them) is also a technique, oft used by sales people, seducers, excellent poker players, and grifters, and is again based on human physiology/body language/facial tells
this is also lesser black magic
and magic tricks are a good way to open people up to suggestion...
a good example of lesser black magick, would be this:
a man walks into a fortune teller shop out of desperation from a life gone sour... already, he probably has belief that this person can tell him his fortune, or he wouldn't be in there... so the gates are already open for the fortune tellers suggestions to sink in... the fortune teller does a bit of cold reading disguised as palm reading, and actually puts him in a slight hypnotic state, which further opens up the gates to suggestion... so then the fortune teller tells him how his life is going to be once he walks out the door, and sure enough, that's how it is... the man comes back, even more desperate than before, the fortune teller offers him a $500 'blessed' candle to burn and a spell to be chanted that will get rid of this evil energy that's been weighing him down, the man glady pays, burns the candle and his life gets better, and the fortune teller makes $500 from a $2 candle.

I was kind of skeptical and mabey its just lucky timing but im not gunna lie i sorta believe in this stuff. I went from being un-employed and living with my parents to having two job offers and a 10g inheritence.
All i can say is thanks for sharing your knowledge. Ive been usin sigils and things have just been getting better and better for me. Ive changed a few things in my life and now try and live by the principal of "do un to others" and things are looking great, loving life!!!

See my sig.
black magic often involves fear, manipulation, and selfishness.
white magic is more love, truth, and unselfishness.
