She don't case!
    #1539138 - 05/11/03 04:11 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

My old GF has been growing shrooms for some time. She has played with casings, yet never got real into em. She always got contams. Although she did grow some fatties off of bluethumbs compost, cased with coir, she doesn't prefer casing because it brings the risk of contams. When she doesnt' case, she is almost 100% contam free, no matter how dirty she is. I was wondering, what do you guys think of this? She grows with dung, and gets about a dry oz per 9*9*1.5 in deep pan. She just sprays the hell out out of the mycelial cake and just lets it do its thing. IS anyone else opposed to casings? She gets about 4 decent flushes, and when she cases she has the risks around the 2nd flush. Are casings THAT much better? What about in a bin setup, where the whole thing is a deep mass of mycelium, dung bros style.. is that the ideal way to do it without casing?
Thanks

Check that link out... I asked a similar question, and Cheesenoonions answered it pretty quickly for me.... I think the hardest part of casing is just getting a feel for it. Anyway.. check out cheesenoonions post and click the word THIS when he says check this out.... Good pics.... Anyway good luck.

Old post of mine in which cheesenoonions gives great examples of both cased and uncased batches

NIce pictures. That sure is a mother load. But like many noticed, he was already getting contams in the uncased ones. wouldn't the uncased do better in the long run? Anyone else haev any input?
Peace
