Those are all only thumbnail size with no way to enlarge them. Impossible to say what they are at that size.

Definitely not Psilocybe weilii.  Looks more like Tubaria.

If you upload large size images the normal way through the pics menu they should be enlargeable.

Yes they work!

I don't know what they are but they look pretty poisonous to me.

I think you're right about them being tubaria, according to my uneducated google research, they look exactly like tubaria hiemalis, alas. not poisonous if they are though, just nasty

You know. I think Weiliis could be considered rare. I mean isn't Georgia the only place they grow? Seems pretty exotic to me..:filosoraptor:

They are called an endemic species.

Just because something is endemic does not necessarily mean they are rare in their particular habitat/geographic location.

I personally find another endemic Psilocybe, P. atlantis, to be much more rare.

When I get my hands on the type collection of P. caerulescens, P. weilii will be no more.

Maybe.  If it even exists anymore.

So you're thinking P. weilii is merely a variety of P. caerulescens with pleurocystidia?

I am thinking that the type collection of P. caerulescens has pleurocystidia.

And it was found not too far from where P. weilii is found.  Not too close either.  We need to see it.  Where is it?
