I'm new to the shroomery and new to cultivation. 1 previous attempt ( pf tek ) VERY successful - PES Hawaiian. This go around - also PF tek, 10 1/2 pint jars, Puerto Rican spores, innoculated March 15th, all 10 jars completely innoculated ALL white, no contams, only 2 have gone forth with slight pinning and then birthed to produce a few small (2 in. length ) fruits which end up dying/expiring before they can even break veil. ( so no prints can be obtained ) all jars were exposed to light on regular basis (after completely turning white)but still nothing. fruiting is in 10 gal. aquarium with perlite, hum. is constant 93% - temp is 72. Mycelium seems to be slightly losing its original lustre in spots on last 8 jars, lids have been loose for airflow, can I fruit them another way? thanx for the great board and any info would help, mahalo!

Two months sounds like a long time to me. You might want to dunk the cakes and return to fruiting chamber. But hey I'm a newb what do I know?

4 of the uncooperatives were taken out of the jars and put into the aquarium about 10 days ago ( forgot to mention that before ) still with no luck, the last 4 are still in jars awaiting pinning ( doubtful )

The mushrooms you get invitro are going to be underdeveloped, and impossible to get a print from. My advice is, take all of your cakes out of your jars and cold shock them. Cold shocking is a very good way to induce pinning... Dunking will help with the flush yeild, but it's not going to induce pinning.

- "The mushrooms you get invitro are going to be underdeveloped, and impossible to get a print from." - The small mushrooms that I did get, fruited outside of the jars, and started off well on their way to becoming beautiful specimens, but stopped short of opening caps and then proceeded to wither " on the vine" so to speak, though humididty seemed for the most part ample enough. 3 unresponsive jars were placed in the fridge ( 39 deg. ) for about 24 hours prior to being placed into aquarium but nothing seemed to come of it. Can I still case these remainders? Would that do anything?
