Southern California Boletes and Hypomyces chrysospermum

The light rains over the last few weeks have pushed up some boletes under our coastal live oaks. I believe these are Boletus chrysenteron and Boletus dryophilus. Maybe just B. dryophilus? The Hypomyces chrysospermum was rampant and in various stages of attack. The boletes stain blue.

Your ID's look good.

Its interesting that B. dryophilus is only in southern california - we never get it in the bay area.

Look for the cool red Lepiota that grows under oaks.

If you haven't seen my "Fungi of San Diego" thread, google for it...

Thanks Alan. Some of the boletes are probably B. truncatus as well. I will keep an eye out for the red Lepiota. We need some more rain down here.
