You can remove pins if you wish to fuck up your grow and not harvest nearly as much as you were about to.

have u ever harvested a big shroom that has lots of little pins/buttons on the base of it? i would think if that one shroom wasnt there, u would get to harvest the 10 that are around it at maturity

so cut the mature one off with a knife and leave the pins and they will grow in the next flush, unless they have black caps and are aborts.

I heard this before... RR said that the initiate pinset also produces the pins for later flushes.
I thought I read something by hyphae (?) about it, but I don't wanna misquote anybody, also I'm not sure if I got his thread right.
I really like to know if there is one person out there who does that...

Ya 100% of my PE's push out pins for multiple flushes after they get dunked. I always get super excited when I see a bazillion pins, but then only a few grow on the first flush and I die a little inside. But be patient, they will grow eventually.

What RR meant by that is, there will be 2nd flush pins coming up along with the first flush as the first flush matures, and when picking the first flush to cut them at the stump with a sharp knife and not yank em so the 2nd flush pins can still grow.
I don't think he meant to pick the first pins before they even mature so the next ones will grow better. I'm positive he didn't mean that lol

Yes, that's how I feel about it. There must be something others do right and I do wrong.

Yeah man, you're right. But that was absolutely not what I'm saying.
I only thought that Hyphae had written something about removing pins but as I wrote I could just as well have misunderstood it. Saying I read something but I'm not sure and I didn't find it later.
