Dunking Question

I got a casing thats on its 4th flush. Total yeild is about a ounce between all the flushes. Can I dunk the casing in straw water (from pasteurizing) and get a better flush then If I just dunk it in water?

maybe, but you also will likely increase your odds of contamination exponentially over plain water.
depending on the substrate of the casing (anything that is not straight straw), you're yields are waning due to loss of water.
dunking a casing is completely feasible, though for anything that is not 100% grain or brf, I'd only suggest dunking for an hour or two as opposed to 6-12.
dung/straw casings don't hold up to that level of saturation quite as gracefully as your brf cakes or casings.
you may also want to consider a bleach or peroxide dunk, just for an extra measure of safety...kill off any nasties that might be lurking while you rehydrate.

Its straw/dung. How much peroxide to water ratio? What about the ratio for bleach?

maybe try breaking up that substarte and using it to innoculate other beds of poo in a glove box or something. It might be starved up nutrients. Adding straw would definately pose some contam. problems if not done in a glove box.

Would you recommend recasing after the dunk? Pretty sure it would loose a lot of verm/cocoir.

definitely recase.
as for the peroxide or bleach ratios...
I'm not sure for peroxide, but I think hippie's bleach tek calls for 1:1000 dilution.
search on 'bleach tek' user hippie3 for more information, same with the peroxide...
good luck.
