I got this myrtle at a garden center in a small pot, for a few coins. I transplanted it in open ground, unsheltered except for the low wall at its back. After just over one year, its size has doubled. The little myrtle withstood moderate cold and heavy, cold rain - it's had wet feet all through the winter and survived. I'm very proud! :-) Now let's hope the upcoming winter doesn't drown it...

Yeah ferrel, very nice indeed.

Speaking of Blue Myrtle's here's a recent graft of mine on that stock. It's an Ortegocactus macdougalii that was degrafted from Pereskiopsis. Seed was originally from Cactusdan.

I'd suspect Ariocarpus retusus

My Geometrizans myrtillocactus. I bought this one at the end of February this year. He was repotted, and after a few months of soaking up the sun, he decided to throw out some offsets.

Mammilaria matudae

Pilocereus azureus

Kalanchoe serrata. Grown from one of the plantlets that form on the leaf edge.

Yeah, its babies pop up in just about every plant pot i've got. The lower branches snap under their own weight and put out roots. It's a survivor alright! This one is over 6 feet now.
