I love this book so much. It changed me.
Have you read it? What did you think?

It talks about sex.

It's also a pretty good read.

most of hesse's works are like... required reading for young adults opening their minds.

I always liked the glass bead game best.

but yeah, siddhartha is pretty darn good.

When you finish Siddhartha, check out The Miracle of Mindfulness.

I read Siddhartha last semester, and it was one of the more impacting books I have read. It gave me a whole new context to analyze and interpret some of my own spiritual inquiries. Great stuff :]

Hermann Hesse has written a lot of other wonderful books beyond Siddhartha.

Steppenwolf
Demian
Journey to the East

But you don't have to take my word for it....

Siddhartha was pretty important to me. Demian was too, to a subtler extent.

I really need to read Steppenwolf and Glass Bead Game.

i love this quote from steppenwolf
"'Most men will not swim before they are able to.' Is not that witty? Naturally, they won't swim! They are born for the solid earth, not for the water.
And naturally they won't think. They are made for life, not for thought. Yes, and he who thinks, what's more, he who makes thought his business, he may go far in it, but he has bartered the solid earth for the water all the same, and one day he will drown."
