I'd like to see a failsafe worldwide anti-nuke system run by artificial intelligence. But I'm a dreamer.

There was book I read when a "tiny" bit younger. In it two scientists invent a weapon while working for the government. It uses a energy beam with targeting by mind control. All they had to do was look and think.... it would hit every time. The used it to double cross the sponsoring gov, which wanted global domination, then set the weapon on "auto" and sealed the control cave. Can't remember the name though.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. I don't really have an issue with a North American missle defense system if it is a proven technology. But to invest that kind of money into something that doesn't even work is just plain irresponsible.

im opposed to it because most likely any missile that is fired at north american will be aimed at the United States and if the missle defence system fails, it could knock the missile off course and into Canada. In closing, I think we should just let the missiles fly over-head to their intended target
