I choke up all the time. Sometimes that means crying, but not bawling. I just teared up listening to a beat poet, by the name of Shane Koyczan, talking about his mother on her deathbed.

The last time I really cried was during my breakup last month. It helped the process along in a big way. Like a purging of my emotional state. It helped sort out my feelings and move along past a relationship that had become a huge part of my life.

Crying comes naturally to me. I can't imagine not doing it.

I cry regularly because of what I have lost, because I can't get it back, because I don't understand any of the mysteries with which life presents me. I cry because if I could just understand, it would potentially help me accept my fate. I cry because I see nothing in this universe that I could take with me beyond death as a souvenir of my time here, even what I would call my soul is looking more and more like a holiday romance, real and fulfilling whilst playing in the sun, but inevitably fading on the return home. Crying is what we do when we are powerless to do anything else, some may cry in order to manipulate others feelings, I cry alone in the hope that somewhere inside my mind, I will take pity on myself.  :crymeariver:

In all actuality I don't think I'm that fucked up.  If anything I consider myself fairly sane as humans go.

That said, I do also believe there may be a huge reservoir of pent up emotion that will burst out one day.  Cry for like 3 days straight or something.

But maybe not.

most likely this will happen soon :ohwell:

OK I freely admit I'm fucked up emotionally...I mean more fucked up I guess. LOL

Repressed.  Yes of course. I would say the same if you hadn't laughed in decades.  I wouldn't try to fix it though.  I'll bet you would have cried on your walkabout.

I cried for a week straight when my favorite dog died.  That was intense.  I don't see myself ever crying for a human like that.

Are/were you not close to your parents? sibling(s)?  Child?

I'd probably cry my eyes out for weeks if any member of my immediate family died, and that's including my dog.

I too last cried when my dog died.

I will also definitely cry a lot when my mom dies. I don't know if I will cry for my dad.

I went for like 10 years without crying and to be honest I thought I never would again. And then about three months go a close friend of mine accidentally OD'd in his sleep and didn't wake up. 27 years old.

Yeah, a loss of a pet has always struck me hard.  I'll probably bawl when my grandparents or parents die though.

No, my parents mean nothing.

Almost cried yesterday because I realized that I have no one to really share my interests and life with.

I would say it was important.

I cried a few weeks ago when i was on top of Timber Ridge in Pisgah looking out over the changing leaves. Pisgah has a way of making me bawl like a little girl.
