just go up to a farmer and tell them you want to get some poo for your grandparents garden. they can't come out and do it beccause they have bad hip and such and they just told u to get it from farmers around the area. most farmers don't care :/ or u can tell them that you grow mushrooms and u need it as food for them and/or fertilizer for your garden.

My foaf gets his from a horse & cattle breader. He pays "cash" & no "Q's" asked.
On a differing scale, anyone with cows or horse's will give up the "poo" piles.
It can be for  Mom's flower garden, those veggie "lunitic" folks you know, for the veggie garden or any old sort of BS.
Don't be "bashfull", just ASK............& add lib..... as need be.

I have several sources.
I get most of mine from an Uncle...he has 3 horses.
He thinks that I am growing edible mushrooms. 
I keep telling him that I will bring them some.
Think I better start growing some edibles.
And my new source:
My best friends gal pal has 4 horses that are on a farm with at least 10 other horses.
I can get all the poo I want now.
Just ask farmers for some horse poo or cow shit for your Roses or Veggie garden.
Most will be more than happy to let you get some from their pile.
Try and get the older dried out stuff.

Check the ads in the paper for farmers who are selling, or often giving away, poo.
The farmers won't ask what you are using it for. They don't give a shit.

A friend of mine just got some from the local Race track. .Went to the stable entrance and asked the guard at the gatewho he can talk to . Then the guard just pointed to a large bin where they stables dump it and said help your self.............

Most ppl dont give a shit when you want some shit. What the hell do they need a ton of shit for. My friend has about 8 cows and 4 horses so my FOAF is set with shit. I heard he has made 4 cakes with poop cased with about a half inch of 50/50+. Should have a nice lil yield.

Lots of feed stores also have shit....they let farmers dump it in the fields behind their store.

Check the for-sale ads in the paper under fertilizer or garden supplies for the names of farmers selling shit. Farmers sell shit by the truck loads and you pay to have them load it but, if you show up with a bag and a shovel, they will usually give you some shit for free. If they get nosey about what you are using it for (which they won't) don't let them give you any shit.

Yea, most farmers aren't that concerned with some shit being taken. Most of them are really into cultivation on their own and are more than happy to help someone out. Where I live we have Amish and Mennonites, many a time I've stopped in to ask some Mennonites for some shit(they don't like that word btw, don't use it!:) and they were happy to oblidge me, showed me around their farm, and invited me in for a wonderful meal. Gotta love that :0
