Kratom Plant Lost Leafs. HELP!
    #15269868 - 10/24/11 09:48 AM (6 years, 8 months ago)

Hi,

My kratom plant lost it's leafs recently. They kind of got knocked off when being moved. It's a small plant and it's Spring where I am so during the colder Winter months it would not have liked the low temperatures.

Can my plant bounce back? The last leaf came off during the weekend and tonight I put it under a 130 watt fluorescent grow light to help it out.

I don't want to lose my baby :frown:

all the leafs?
pretty sure that as long as it has 50%+ of all its leafs it should be fine if you take care of it and not stress it out. (not every plant, also depends on if the plant is well established)

post a pic please?

Irie,
I find my plants quite resilient and bounce back after losing all leaves....
In my case it's usually slugs!
But anyhow hang on to it still for at least a couple of months...

Respect,
Z

my plant loses its leaves in the winter. but it can hardly be considered a plant. its more like a small tree.

It'll be fine, just keep the temperature above 60, water it constantly, and don't put it in direct sunlight until it grows new leaves.

It's possible as long as you can keep the stem healthy.  I would keep it in a humidity tent and be sure to air it our regularly. Fluoros should be ok.  But also make sure your temps are high.  If you're stressing the plant at all, it's probably not going to make it.  But your stem is still alive, which means it isn't dead. I've had plant go either way at that point depending on how much attention I paid to them.

kratom takes alot of water.

if the trunk is somewhat woody, and it looks like that, the leaves should grow back fine.
