Greets, Sorry to double post, but I wnated to bump it up
Last Wednesday (a week and a day ago) my iguana cased his lipa yais. He mists them a few times a day with h2o2/h2o (1:10 dilution), get alot of good fresh air exchange, has lights on them that have worked before, and no fruits! I took them out of cold shock this morning (after a total of 23 hours) and STILL no fruits. Is the hydrogen peroxide too high in the mixture? Should I, fuck, I dunno what else to even suggest to myself to do. How long after cold shocking should I see the pins popping their cute little selves up? Thanks for the help!!!

everything sounds good. the missing ingredient is time.
my casings usually pin around 8-12 days after birthing them, but it depends on the strain and other things. any day now!

The mycelia have popped through in quite a few places, yes.

heh, I'm hoping so I re-arranged the plastic containers they are in adn it kind of "squished" the dirt, and looking down in the crevasses I can't see any mycelia, but it has popped through on around 30% of the casing material Sounds Kosher?

Should I have let the entire surface colonize with mycelia? I've seen some pics that look like that, but I thoguht I wasn't supposed to do that.

you sound like your doing well. patching helps create a more even pinset and thats what its goal is. sometimes people let the entire surface colonize because they know there strains and are good mycologists and can get even pinsets via this method too. just all in your blue thumb

Could I attach a vaccuum cleaner to the mycelia and suck the fruits out of them?
Just kidding
thanks for the help guys, I REALLY appreciate it !
I did patch them once, and it grew up again, so I figured it was time to go
Thanks again, I mean it. If/when this works out, free spore prints to those that helped

If you see the mycellium in the casings "valleys" than it's OK. Be patient.

**UPDATE** - One of the containers, on the visible spots of mycelia, has taken on a brownish tinge. I can't tell if it's numerous spots that are brown, or if the entier thing is brown. My observations seem to show that their are numerous brown spots on the white mycelia. Does this sound like a precursor to pinning? Are those spots "safe" to be misted, should I avoid misting them??
Ireally appreciate the help!! Jr
