I have 310 friends and ill say I only talk to maybe 20 of them weekly maybe 5-10 daily. The remaining 290 or so is a result of networking and meeting friends of friends and so on. Think of it like farming, you go and search the entire field for the ones you want to pick and all the other ones you leave in your big field until you are ready to pick them. If your field only has 30 crops instead of 300, what are the odds of finding a suitable harvest when desired? Not at all saying people are a bunch of pumpkins but rather the paths that people take do not always intersect as expected.
