In a ***mart of some kind I guess.

It?s good if you pasteurize it before use, just to be sure.

Good Luck

jiffy mix sucks, it gives a good first flush but sucks later. use potting soil instead.

Standard Jiffy Mix does *not* contain any fertilizer - it has, and I quote:

Sphagnum Peat Moss (48-52%)
Horticultural Vermiculite (48-52%)
Lime (for pH correction)
Wetting agent

It's really great stuff for casings - it's solely what I use.

Just get a bowl, fill mostly with Jiffy Mix, add water until it's soupy and nuke for 5 minutes in the microwave - bam! Sterlized field capacity casing mix.

So if i'm understanding this thread, I could just take wet jiffy pellet instead of making my own mix from the casing. Because my initial plan was to use the 50/50+ tek but jiffy would be easyer for a newbie like me. But their isnt any oyster shell in jiffy should I add any to the mix afterwards?

The lime in the Jiffy Mix does the same job as the oyster shell - fix the pH

Just use Jiffy Mix and you'll be fine.
