Hunt for pelliculosa

So I decided to go up to a clear cut today because we had temperatures down to 35degrees last night. I had in mind that they would be easy to find beings as they have gelatinous pellicle but we had very warm temperatures today and lots of warm sun-shine. Almost all of the mushrooms that I saw today were a little dried out and had tawny caps. Do Pelliculosa have a pellicle when dried? I took a couple of pictures not knowing what was what, any help would be very appreciated. When dried how does one tell the different between pelliculosa and conocybe albipes?
I though these might be a cyanopus or smithii.
these are the suspected clear cut psilocybes. note* that most of them had reddish stem butts.

LOL, I don't think liberty caps grow in clear cuts.

So one out of the batch of conocybes is showing very strong blue at it's base, the weird thing is that there was a big patch of them and only one of them bruised blue. I have no intention of eating it but why only one of them? I would think that it was either a patch of active conocybes or inactive conocybes but not both growing together.
In "real" life this is very blue but it is hard to photograph the color.

They were growing in weeds which were pretty mush everywhere in the clear cut, it should be from the pile in the first picture I believe. I think that active conocybes are common but they are so small and inconspicuous that people over look them. I have found a couple of patches this year alone. Is there any inactive conocybe with calk white stems that you know of?

Don't know much about Conocybe, except to be VERY fucking careful! Interesting find, nonetheless. I would like to see a Conocybe expert to chime in.

I am to scared to eat them. I like getting high but it's not worth my life, maybe after I get a scope and can be 110% sure about them being the correct mushroom for

You are welcome! If you are interested, perhaps we could make a trip out to one of my Pelli locations when they start fruiting.

Pells will dry like other Psilocybes and the pellicle will not be visible when dried. Most will have dark gills.... Not all though oddly enough, and have had problems getting spore prints...
Pells do look a bit like liberty caps in my opinion, and probably a few weeks off. They do like wet weather too... Looked last week up here for fun, found nothing in the clear cuts. Too warm and dry... Will recheck in a couple of weeks
