Found some wicked looking blue shrooms...

Near some pine trees in my field today. They look "magic" to me, but I am no expert with shrooms, so check out the pics.
The caps are wavy, and curl under at the edge. There is a dimple in the middle of the cap. Almost an anti-nipple (heh). The caps look like the are dark tan or beige, but were turning blue and green around the edges and in some spots on top. The stems looked absolutely wicked. Blue and green spots and streaks all up and down. I would say these shrooms were maybe an inch or an inch and a half tall, and about two inches across. Gills were brownish looking red and looked like blood when smeared on paper. The rain just started today though, so I will keep checking on them. The mushroom all by itself in the picture(s) of three was covered in pine needles and grass and it was pure blue when I uncovered it. Anyone think they may be psychoactive? I have one cap in a bucket right now, getting a spore print, so I'll update with that sometime in the next day or two. Thanks for your help.

Nah, the dimple in the center of the cap and just the overall appearance tells me its likely a type of Lactarius, of which a few species are noted for their blue coloration. Possibly the "indigo milky" I forgot the latin name.

I'm in northern Alabama. I couldn't get a picture of the stem because my camera's batteries ran out =/. The spore print is being done right now. I'll update when it shows up.

I would have to agree the shape resembles Lactarius. A spore print should help to confirm this.

the spore print is still in progress, but earlier when I uncovered that one shroom from the pine needles and leaves, there was a lot of faded bluish spores. they were almost grey looking... anything from that?

those are most likely Lactarius indigo, an edible mushroom.
there is also a variation of Lactarius indigo that grows in the southeast, and it is also edible
so they say

Too bad- they have a nice sort of spice to the taste- I think they are really unique. Aren't they beautiful?!

Wow, These look like thadul version of a patch of blues I found a few days ago growing on a main st. The younger ones were blue green and had waxy appearance, but the guys youre showing look exactly like two of the ones i picked amongst the bunch, but I'd say the blue was fading with age rather than apearing. Look for my ID request coming soon with lottsa pics of young, old, ground growing on and some suppositions as to how they came to be growing in Main St.

I've uploaded more pictures of my Main Street find, and I do solemny swear to very very soon, describe said finding, photo'ing, picking, more photo'ing, my net trawl, and the making of my spore prints. I passed by yesterday and they are all over the bed. The mycelium seems to be visibly moving across the surface of the mulch. Anyway, shrooms aint really my bag, but I love the odd coupla drieds or 10 to 20 if liberty caps before heading out for a gig and a few guinness'. Ganja growing is my bag at minute, but that could change in a heartbeat if I avail of the treasures of shroomery dot org.
