Ok to case a pinning cake or too late?
    #1523350 - 05/05/03 11:44 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

I have a one pint cake that I was going to do as a cake, so i lowered temp and introduced it to light. Now small 'dots' or 'hyphal knots' are growing all over the mycelium. I assume these small growths will become pins very soon...

ANYWAY, now I want to case this cake with a couple of 1/2 pint cakes that are ready becuase of some of the advice I got here. Is it to late for me to case it since it's showing these dots (pins?) or should i just cake it???

Just case the other cakes and let the one that is beginning to pin go as a cake.

You want to case them on top of the tray you already have? Did I understand that properly?

Sorry should have explained more clearly.

I have a one pint cake that was fully colonized. Initially I was going to cake it, so I introduced light and now it's pinning. However people are telling me casing is WAY better. Is it too late to case a pinning cake? Can I case it with my other non-pinning cakes? Thanks
