Double Casing?

If after a couple flushes a casing starts slowing or stalling growth, can you put another casing layer on top of it, put it in an incubator for a few days, and then put it back into the fruiting chamber?

the casing layer doesnt provide many nutrients to the fungus, the cakes you innoculated have most of it. Im not saying it wont work, but you are lacking nutrients probably.

Well, I don't think it's used all of the nutients. My reasoning is that if the casing was drained of most of it's water from the mushroom growth, that maybe turning the casing over, and recasing it would rehydrate it, and get a couple more flushes out of it. I figured that would work better than just misting it.
