Nope those are pan foens man. Sorry. They are a relative of subbs though, however, are inactive. :frown: Good luck in your future hunts!

Yeah, Id say foenisecii as well, but, if they were really found in horse compost, id think twice.

The stems are not brown enough.

Get a sporeprint. P. subbalteatus will be black, while foenisecii will be a dark brown.

pann subbs can be found in grass and manure and the same with foes. its more likely to find foenisecii in grass and visa versa for subbs but it can still happen. i still think they are foes. but that black pring would suggest subbs. eat em if you want foes wont hurt you but even if they are subbs that isnt enough to feel anything really. peace

Panaeolina foenisecii does not ever grow in manure as you sated above. Only in lawns.

and

Panaeolina foenisceii has a chocolate to purble brown print and panaeolus has a black print. The are two different genera and have different colorewd spores.

Panaeolina foenisecii aere never found in manure. They are a lawn mushroom at harvest time hence the name haymakers mushrooms.

They do not grow in manure and are a separate genera from Panaeolus. There are four species of panaeolina inthe family.

None are psychoactive.

Panaeolina have choclate to light purple brown sporeprints and Panaeolus subbalteatus have black prints.
